About me

Sian is an experienced Dietitian, with a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is passionate about improving people’s’ health and well-being through a holistic approach to nutrition, prioritising the social and psychological aspects of food to ensure dietary changes are effective for her clients.

Sian is experienced in working with a range of diets for medical conditions and individual needs. Specialised in the dietary management of clients with brain injury or additional learning needs to optimise their nutrition for health, rehabilitation and independence.
Sian’s breadth of skills come from working with a range of clients, including children with eating disorders and adults with brain injuries and/or learning difficulties.
Sian enjoys working as part of the larger multidisciplinary team and appreciates the challenge and efficiency of delivering nutritional training to support workers and the family of clients. Sian is skilled at considering imaginative ways of communicating to encourage clients to understand and follow dietary recommendations.

With three young children, most of Sian’s spare time is spent taking the kids to various sporting fixtures and cooking and cleaning up after them!
Sian loves food and would describe herself as a ‘mid week cook’ – cooking good ol’ fashioned hearty meals. She also really enjoys going out for meals – with Thai cuisine being a firm favourite. Having said that – a roast with all the trimmings cooked by friends or family can’t be beaten too!
Sian tries keeping fit and will often mention her completion of her first (and final) marathon a few years back. Sian is currently in training for a 100km cycle ride in the summer, as her knees are telling her it’s time to hang up her running shoes.

Dietitians are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law, and are governed by an ethical code of conduct to ensure that we always work to the highest standard.
